Recommended Version for VirusScan : 8.7i with Patch 2 and Agent with Patch 2.
You should uninstall any previous version of VirusScan or any other antivirus product before installing.
Install the following packages in the order given, re-booting between installs.
Uninstall previous versions before installing.
- McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i with patch 2 (pre-configured version - will install on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows).
You can ascertain whether your antivirus software is up-to-date by checking its version numbers using Start > Programs >McAfee> VirusScan Console > Help > About and comparing them to the details above. A more detailed explanation is available.
Current Antivirus Software Versions for the Macintosh
- McAfee Security for Mac 1.0 - for all Macs (PPC or Intel-based) running OS X 10.4.4 or later, including 10.5 and 10.6
- ClamXAV may be used for older Macs running OS X 10.3 or earlier.
